PAST SCHEDULED DOWNTIMES
The list below displays system upgrades and maintenance downtimes that have already occurred.
Banner Upgrades
Computer Services will be installing a Banner upgrade on Friday, March 19, 2010. The system will be unavailable from 2:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. This will impact Banner, Banner Web, Bosscars, the online faculty web page listing, any online course schedules, and the online faculty/staff directory.
Banner Upgrade
Computer Services will be installing a Banner upgrade on Monday, December 7, 2009. The system will be unavailable from 2:00 a.m. until noon. This will impact Banner, Banner Web, Bosscars, the online faculty web page listing, any online course schedules, and the online faculty/staff directory.
Network Maintenance
Computer Services will be replacing network equipment in the Instructional Complex on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors on Tuesday October 13, 2009. Maintenance will begin at 9:00 a.m. The replacement will cause a short network downtime for each floor.
Banner Upgrades
Banner INB, Bosscars, Banner Web, and Crystal Reports will be unavailable Thursday, September 10th, 2009 from 2:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
Russell Hall Network Maintenance
Computer Services will be replacing network equipment in Russell Hall on Monday, July 13, 2009 beginning at 7:30pm. We estimate it should take 1 hour to complete the upgrade.
Lambdin Hall Network Maintenance
Computer Services will be replacing network equipment in Lambdin Hall on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 beginning at 8:00 pm. We estimate it should take 1 hour to complete the replacement. Some network service interruptions will occur during this time while the equipment is being upgraded.
Smith Hall Network Maintenance
Computer Services will be replacing network equipment in Smith Hall on Friday, 4/10/09, starting at 3:00pm. This Maintenance period should last about 45 to 60 min. During this maintenance period all network services in Smith Hall will be unavailable. (No computer access, Banner, internet services, network printing, etc).
The services in all other buildings will not be affected.
Banner Downtime
Banner, Banner Web, Crystal Web, Bosscars, online class schedules, some online forms, and the campus directory will be down from 2:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 25th.
Guillebeau Hall Network Maintenance
All network/internet connectivity in Guillebeau Hall will be down for network equipment updates. During the downtime, all room, lobby wireless and PC lab internet connections will be down. The downtime will be Thursday, March 12 from 9:00am until 1:00pm.
Melton Hall Network Maintenance
All network/internet connectivity in Melton Hall will be down for network equipment updates. During the downtime, all room, lobby wireless and PC lab internet connections will be down. The downtime will be Tuesday, March 10 from 9:00am until 1:00pm.
Banner Downtime
Banner, Banner Web, Crystal Web, and Bosscars will be down Friday Feb 27th from 12:00 noon to 8:00 AM Saturday Feb 28th.
Gordon Commons A, B, and C Network Maintenenace
All network/internet connectivity in the Commons B will be down for network equipment updates. This downtime will also cause a short downtime for Commons A and Commons C. During the downtime, all room, lobby wireless and PC lab internet connections will be down. The downtime for Commons B will be Thursday, February 26 from 9:00am until 1:00pm. The downtime for Commons A and Commons C will be from 11:00am until 1:00pm.
Gordon Commons A Network Maintenenace
All network/internet connectivity in the Commons A will be down for network equipment updates. During the downtime, all room, lobby wireless and PC lab internet connections will be down. The downtime will be Tuesday, February 24 from 9:00am until 1:00pm.
Gordon Commons C Network Maintenenace
All network/internet connectivity in the Commons C will be down for network equipment updates. During the downtime, all room, lobby wireless and PC lab internet connections will be down. The downtime will be Thursday, February 19 from 9:00am until 1:00pm.
Banner Upgrades
Banner, Banner Web, Bosscars, and Crystal Web will be down for database upgrades from Wednesday, November 26th 2:00 a.m. until Saturday, November 29th at 8:00 a.m. We will notify everyone once the system is available.
Network Maintenance Scheduled
Computer Services will be doing maintenance on the campus network Sunday, September 21, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.. During this time the campus will experience short interruptions while the equipment is being upgraded. The interruptions will affect all network services including Banner, Internet, E-mail, phones, and card access services.

Computer Services will be performing important maintenance on the campus network Tuesday evening (5/6/2008) from 5pm to 6pm. This work will take the network down across the entire campus so it will disrupt all services temporarily.

Network Maintenance Scheduled
Computer Services will be making some configuration changes to the network tonight Friday, 10/26/07 starting at 5:00 p.m. The maintenance is tentively scheduled to be completed by 8:00 p.m. All or part of the network will be down during this period.

Banner will undergo an upgrade to version 7 beginning on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 2:00 a.m. and is scheduled to be completed by Tuesday, November 28 at 8:00 a.m. The following systems will NOT be available during this time: Banner GUI, Banner Web, Crystal Web Reports, BOSSCARS, Xtender Imaging system, and the campus directory on the Gordon College website.

Computer Services will be performing a Banner upgrade on Wednesday, August 30th, 2006. The system will be down from 2:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Banner GUI, Banner Web, Webxtender, and Crystal Reports will not be available during this time.

Computer Services will be performing maintenance to the Dino server on 07. 06. 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Banner GUI, Banner Web and Xtender will not be available during this time.
Banner Upgrade
Computer Services will be performing a Banner upgrade on Friday, June 30th, 2006. The system will be down from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Banner GUI, Banner Web, Webxtender, and Crystal Reports will not be available during this time. The Business office will be closing out the end of the year at 2:00 p.m. Friday. Banner Web will be shut down at 2:00 p.m. and everyone will be asked to log out of Banner GUI until the process is finished.

Computer Services will be performing a Banner upgrade on Thursday, April 20th, 2006. The system will be down from 2:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Banner GUI, Banner Web, Webxtender, and Crystal Reports will not be available during this time.
Network Maintenance - March 19
OIIT will be performing maintenance on the campus fiber on Sunday March 19, 2006 beginning at 12:01 a.m. until approximately 6:00 a.m. During this time NO Peachnet services (internet services) will be available.
Banner Upgrade
Computer Services will be performing Banner upgrades on Wednesday, March 8th, 2006 from 7:00 a.m. to ~11:00 a.m. Banner GUI, Banner Web, Webxtender, and Crystal Reports will not be available during this time.

Banner Upgrade - Dec. 2
Computer Services will be performing Banner upgrades on December 2nd at 7:30 a.m. Banner GUI, Banner Web, Webextender, and Crystal Reports will not be available until ~ 9:30 a.m.
E-Mail upgrade phase II
Gordon E-Mail will be down the morning of Tuesday, October 11th, 2005 starting at 1:00 a.m. Computer Services will be completing phase II of the e-mail server upgrade.
E-Mail Maintenance
Gordon E-Mail will be down the majority of the day on Thursday, Oct 6, 2005 starting at 7:30 a.m. The Computer Services staff will be moving E-Mail to a different server and performing upgrades to the system.
System maintenance
System maintenance will be performed on our main web server (osprey) on September 21, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Expect the downtime to be about 30 minutes.
Database Reboot
Banner will not be available August 3rd, 2005 at 8:00 p.m. due to routine maintenance. It will be available around 9:00 p.m.
Network Relocation -
GTA and Computer Services will be moving/relocating cables, telephone & network, in Lambdin Hall beginning on Friday July 15, 2005. Phone service and voice mail may be disrupted briefly. All Network and PeachNet services (email, banner, internet, computer access, etc) will NOT be available from 6:00 p.m. Friday until 6:00 p.m. Saturday July 16, 2005.
Banner Maintenance - April 17th
Banner Gui and Banner web will be down Sunday, April 17th from 9:00 a.m. until noon for routine maintenance and financial aid upgrades. Registration will not be available during this time.
Banner Upgrade - Feb. 16th
Computer Services will be performing Banner upgrades on February 16th at 5:00pm. Banner GUI, Banner Web, Webextender, and Crystal Reports will not be available until 6:00am the following morning.
Network Maintenance - Jan. 25
OIIT Network Personal will be on the Gordon College campus performing maintenance on our Peachnet Equipment Tuesday January 25, 2005 beginning at 10:00pm. Network Downtime is expected to be about 3 hours. During this time NO Peachnet services (internet services) will be available.
Nov. 20-24 : Banner 6 Upgrade
Banner will undergo an upgrade to version 6 beginning on Saturday, November 20, 2004 at 2:00 a.m. and is scheduled to be completed by Wednesday, November 24. The following systems will NOT be available during this time: Banner GUI, Banner Web, Crystal Web Reports, Xtender Imaging, and the Campus Directory on the Gordon College website.
9/28/2004 - Banner upgrades
Banner will be down on Tuesday, September 28th from 2:00 AM until 10:00 AM for upgrades. Banner Web, Banner GUI, and Web Xtender will NOT be available during this time.
Banner Upgrades - 9/17
Banner GUI, Banner Web and Banner Web Extender will be down Friday, 9/17, starting at 2:00 a.m. due to upgrades. We estimate that Banner will be available by 2:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
9/01/2004 - Banner Upgrade
Banner GUI (5.x) and Banner Web will be down beginning at 2:00am in the morning of 09/01/2004 and will remain down throughout the day on Wednesday, 09/01/2004. We will be upgrading portions of the UNIX system.
Sunday, June 6 - Server downtime...
The computer services department will be taking preventative measures by bringing down all the servers and equipment on Sunday, June 6th due to air conditioning maintenance in the Instructional Complex. The servers are scheduled to be brought back up around 7 p.m. Sunday evening. All Gordon College computer systems will NOT be available during this time.
April 20-21 : Banner Upgrade
The Computer Services staff will be moving Banner to a new server on Tuesday, April 20th. The Banner migration will commence on this date at 10:00 p.m. The system is scheduled to be back up and running by 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning (April 21st). This will affect the following systems: Banner GUI (Banner 5X), Banner Web, Crystal Web Reports, Xtender Imaging.
